Athletes Versus Cancer founder and NBA basketball player Matt Barnes has returned this year to host his 9th annual basketball camp for the youth within the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The training camp took place at Palisades Charter High School in Pacific Palisades from August 12 to August 14th. The camp offerse basketball development for both boys and girls, ages 6-15. The camp consisted of basketball drills, workouts and game competitions to instill confidence in players ability. It was designed to help players at all levels improve their basketball skills ad understand the game's techniques through shooting, dribbling, 5-on-5 games and strategic skills conditioning and training. During the three day weekend, former and present NBA players stopped in to maximize each campers experience to discuss basketball, life and their success on and off the court with the competitors. Of these NBA players were Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, Jelani McCoy, and Jamaal Wilkes.
