Born Jaleesa Collins in Clarksdale, MS. It all started from writing, which inspired her to filter over into the journey of music production, which then led to screenwriting, graphic designing, and most of all - photography! She was first introduced to a camera and the world of photography at the age of 6. By the age of 11, this is when she adopted art and mass media as a hobby and photography and graphics designing became her favorite pastime.
Jaleesa, known to many as Diamond, went on to graduate from Clarksdale High School in May of 2010 and attended Coahoma Community College on a full scholarship where she received her Associate's of Arts degree in Radio & Television Broadcasting in her first year. She furthered her education at the University of Memphis where she majored in Film and Video Production, and later attended the University of Maryland-University College, earning a degree in Communication Studies and a Master's in Management. Recently, she completed her Doctoral degree in Business Administration. She is currently in school studying business law and political science, while working in cybersecurity and striving towards a common goal of making those around her and her community better.
Jaleesa always had dreams of becoming a successful film director and screenwriter with hopes and aspirations of doing photography and graphics as a favorite pastime. But before all of this could be completed, those dreams and aspirations took a backseat once she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in February of 2011.
However, she refused to leave those dreams behind and let them die while she was active duty in the military. She took them with her and specialized in Communications while serving her country proudly. It was here where she came up with the plan to put her ideas and visual thoughts into existence. Later, she created Jaleesa Collins and Company, LLC an independent media and consulting firm that specializes in music, film, photography, sports, education, community service, art and graphic design, financial literacy and management.
Who knew that doing these things as an every day pastime would later grow into a lifelong career? This has sparked the business she runs today known as Jaleesa Collins and Company, LLC
